Ebenezer has 30 years’ experience in managing the geotechnical design process of complex and demanding schemes in both the UK and abroad. An experienced chartered geotechnical engineer and registered ground engineering (RoGEP) adviser, Ebenezer has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a master’s degree in Soil Mechanics and Environmental Geotechnics; both from Imperial College, London. During his career, he has been fortunate to have been involved in a few of the UKs most prestigious schemes including: Channel Tunnel Rail Link C230 at Stratford, Brighton and Hove Peacehaven WTW (the largest WTW in Europe) and the iconic Battersea Power Station Development (Phase 3) in London. In 2014, Ebenezer set up Geofirma Ltd to deliver a wide range of geotechnical consultancy and design services to the construction industry. Ebenezer is also an established geotechnical tutor who has been delivering training on behalf of the ICE since 2008. Although experienced in many areas of geotechnical design, Ebenezer’s key interests lie in the delivery of practical and economical designs of piled foundations for high rise structures, the design of retaining walls for basement structures and the planning and implementation of cost effective methods of Ground Investigation. Ebenezer is very passionate about diversity and inclusion, particularly within the geotechnical industry, and the education of the new generation of ground engineering practitioners. For this reason he was one of the founding members of the innovative Ground Forum mentoring scheme. He is also a Ground Forum committee member, a RoGEP panel committee member, an AFBE mentor and a STEM ambassador. He is also an External Examiner for the University of Portsmouth covering Engineering Geology and Geosciences subjects.
