The New Civil Engineer Graduate and Apprentice Awards 2024 are designed to recognise and reward the most inspiring UK-based civil engineering graduates and apprentices.
Entries do not require company approval and should be submitted by the graduate/apprentice; however, you will be asked to provide a testimonial from a line manager or mentor.
Entries are welcomed from graduates and apprentices working for UK-based clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers or working in academia who are members of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or on an ICE-approved training scheme.
Candidates will be asked to fill in a questionnaire to provide insight into their role in the industry.
The awards recognise candidates that met the qualifying criteria between July 2022 and July 2024.
Returning as part of the 2024 awards, we are seeking candidates to outline their achievement across three key areas – carbon net zero, digital engineering and contribution to the industry.
The three main categories to enter for 2024 are:
Also returning for 2024 are three special awards focusing on the outstanding impact of a graduate or apprentice in one of three areas. Candidates do not need to complete a separate entry for these categories as the winners are selected from the shortlist based on the content of their existing entry.
