The New Civil Engineer Graduate & Apprentice Awards are designed to recognise and reward the most inspiring civil engineering graduates and apprentices.

Whether you are a graduate, apprentice or a degree apprentice the awards will give you the chance to gain profile-raising experiences which could see you on our shortlist and interviewed face-to-face by our judging panel and even be crowned a winner at our ceremony at the ICE in London.

As well as our three main categories, there are also three outstanding contribution awards up for grabs for individuals who show excellence in areas such as Net Zero Carbon, Digital Engineering and Outstanding Contribution to the Industry. The outstanding contribution category winners will be selected from the main category entries and are open to all graduates, apprentices, and degree apprentices.

As the civil engineering industry moves to adopt modern methods of construction, this year’s awards will be asking candidates to not just share their amazing career and work experiences so far but also describe what benefits modern methods of construction bring and how they would use them to drive change across the industry and supply chain over the next five years.

Entries are welcomed from graduates and apprentices working for UK-based clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers or working in academia who are members of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or on an ICE-approved training scheme.

The New Civil Engineer Graduate and Apprentice Awards has a thorough and rigorous judging process which includes two main stages. Judges will score entries online to create the shortlist for the three main categories: Graduate of the Year, Apprentice of the Year, Degree Apprentice of the Year.

By entering the New Civil Engineering Graduate and Apprentice Awards, you will be part of the prestigious industry awards for young professionals in civil engineering and be able to enjoy benefits through-out the campaign.
